Senior DevOps Engineer
What you tell your friends you do
“Embedded with the Data Next Team, I work where code meets infrastructure – automating deployments, assisting with incidents, boosting reliability and building a culture of trust and resilience from the inside out. DevOps isn’t just what I do, it’s how I help teams move faster, smarter and with a whole lot more peace of mind"
What you will really be doing
🚀Enable developers to proficiently build, deploy and operate cloud services by creating accessible tools, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD pipelines all while coaching the team to adopt these practices with confidence
🛠️Build and test monitoring, alerting and disaster recovery systems – defining SLOs/SLIs and error budgets to balance reliability with speed
🔁Improve system resilience and performance by developing runbooks, automating incident response and applying chaos engineering practices
🤝 Partner with the central CloudOps team on multi-region deployment strategies and empower teams to adopt a "you build it, you run it" approach
🔐 Ensure security and compliance standards are met while maintaining clear documentation for infrastructure and processes
How you will be doing this
As the first DevOps engineer embedded within a development team at Aize, you'll help establish ways of working that will shape the future of DevOps across Aize. You’ll be working in a cross-functional team, always putting your best foot forward. You blaze new trails for future DevOps, building what’s next without losing sight of what’s been and learning from past mistakes, even if they aren’t your own.
What we are currently working on
We're one of several teams collaboratively building the next generation of Aize's product, with our specific team mission being to enable fast and reliable onboarding, storage, and access to customer data. We operate using a Kanban workflow, with weekly refinement and bi-weekly retrospectives to continuously improve our processes and delivery.
Team
The Data Next team is a cross-functional platform team responsible for enabling data engineers to ingest and store customer data in Aize's SaaS product, making it available to other teams. Our team consists of 2 Software Engineers, an Information Architect, a QA Engineer, a Data Scientist, a Tech Lead, a Software Development Manager and a Product Manager. You'll have the freedom to work your way, learn from others, and share your own expertise.

About Aize
We believe our product will connect experts across disciplines, domains and industries.
For decades, siloed information and lack of collaboration have hindered teams working in heavy-asset projects. Solving that is our main priority - but only the beginning.
We say we see things differently, but people rarely accept different if it doesn’t also mean better. So we have to show our clients that we can deliver better for them and that’s why we’re recruiting the best from all over the world to help us.
At Aize, we know what happens when you give the smartest of us the tools to succeed.
